Lifting Delay - 9-10-2015 HME Construction & the ACOE arrived on scene to begin a 5-7 day dredging project. They will be removing 20,000cy of sediment and bringing the navigable channel to a depth of 20'. As of now, there is no intention to shut down the cranes but there might be periods of interrupted service. For further information please contact the Port Office.
Lifting Policy - As of July 21st, 2015 the Port of Port Orford will now lift boats with OSHA approved lifting straps with current certification of inspection stamped on the straps. The OSHA approved lifting straps must meet the weight requirement for vessel being lifted. Remember, it is the boat owners responsibility to make sure all ropes, straps, and attachment points are in good working order. The Port of Port Orford assumes no responsibility if your ropes, straps, and attachment points fail.
